Meet Ritha Pierre: A Visionary Leader, Advocate, and Lifelong Learner.

Empowering Change Through Law, Media, and Entrepreneurship.

Welcome

Hello, I’m Ritha Pierre, a strategist, problem solver, and lifelong advocate for meaningful change. From the earliest stages of my journey, I have been driven by a deep commitment to justice and social impact, a passion that has shaped both my career and the work I do today. I wear many hats, including attorney, entrepreneur, producer, founder of Black Ivy Media, and founder of The Unapologetic Executive, a coaching program designed to support high-achieving Black women navigating demanding professional environments.

Rooted in culture and curiosity, I bring both rigor and humanity to my work. While I appreciate music, humor, and the richness of my Haitian heritage, my greatest passion is learning. I am a constant seeker of knowledge, always pushing myself to grow, evolve, and move forward with intention.

At the core of my professional life is service. I currently serve as General Counsel at a national organization advancing race, equity, and justice, where I provide strategic legal leadership in support of complex, mission-driven work across the country. In this role, I partner closely with executive leadership to navigate governance, risk, and organizational strategy in service of lasting impact.

Over the course of my career, I have held legal and leadership roles across nonprofit, labor, government, and private sectors. I have served as General Counsel for a large human services nonprofit, as a senior human resources and employment leader in the private sector, and as legal counsel within a major labor organization. Earlier, I served in government as a prosecutor handling domestic violence, elder abuse, and general crimes. Together, these experiences shaped my understanding of leadership, advocacy, and the real human impact of institutional decision-making.

Beyond my legal practice, I am deeply committed to creating spaces that empower and uplift Black communities. In 2020, I founded Black Ivy Media, a platform dedicated to producing culturally relevant content through podcasts, op-eds, panel discussions, and short films designed to inform, educate, and inspire.

Through Black Ivy Media, I have produced and directed documentary projects that explore the lived experiences of Black communities, including Black Women in Small Business and For Anxious Girls: Unveiling the Hidden Struggle of Anxiety and Depression. I am the author of The Unapologetic Superwoman and the Road to Esquire anthology series, works that center the resilience, complexity, and professional journeys of Black women. These creative projects extend my advocacy beyond traditional spaces, using storytelling as a tool for visibility, connection, and change.

I am the host of The Unapologetic Executive Podcast, formerly known as Freeda’s World, where I facilitate honest conversations about leadership, wellness, identity, and navigating professional life as a Black woman. Through the podcast and live experiences, I work to foster community, amplify lived experiences, and create space for shared reflection and practical insight.

My professional journey across law, leadership, media, and advocacy, combined with my creative and coaching approach, has uniquely positioned me to support others in their growth. As the founder of The Unapologetic Executive coaching program, I partner with clients to help them gain clarity, trust themselves more deeply, and move forward with intention. I believe the answers people seek already exist within them, and my role is to help create the conditions for those insights to surface.

This work is about sustainability, alignment, and access. It is about leading fully without burnout, honoring ambition without apology, and defining success on your own terms. Everything I do is rooted in the belief that when people are supported, informed, and empowered, meaningful transformation becomes possible.

Welcome. This is a space for clarity, leadership, and purposeful growth.
